Maxx B is a Brisbane/Meanjin based artist who weaves messages of emboldened protection and the beauty of nature through his pieces. Maxx achieves this by meshing traditional metalsmith practices with the ancient technique of Cuttlefish casting; wherein Cuttlefish bones are carved to create molds for the molten metal to be poured into. The result is bespoke pieces engrained with the imprint of the natural world.
